Dr. Nick J. Bruno currently serves as the Acting President of the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM), returning to lead the institution during a transitional period beginning in March 2025. A respected figure in Louisiana higher education, Dr. Bruno previously served as ULM鈥檚 eighth president from 2010 to 2020, guiding the university through significant institutional and academic advancements.

A native of Independence, Louisiana, Dr. Bruno holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southeastern Louisiana University, a Master of Business Administration, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership from the University of Mississippi. His career spans more than four decades in higher education, with leadership roles that include Vice President for Business Affairs for the University of Louisiana System and various administrative positions at Southeastern Louisiana University and ULM.

Many great things were accomplished due to the many amazing people I have had the pleasure of working with over the years. Nothing is done in a vacuum. No one person can do anything. It is only together that projects are conceived, planned, and then executed.

Under Dr. Bruno鈥檚 earlier presidency, 青青草视频achieved national recognition for academic quality and research, expanded its degree offerings, and established key partnerships such as the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine campus in Monroe. His tenure also saw major campus revitalization projects, including the Bayou Pointe Student Event Center and other infrastructure improvements.

Dr. Bruno has been an advocate for community engagement and workforce development, serving on numerous boards, including the Monroe Chamber of Commerce, St. Francis Medical Center, and the Committee of 100 for Economic Development. In 2020, he was honored with the Rambin-Silverstein Memorial Civic Award for his service and contributions to the Monroe region.

He and his wife Linda have three children and one grandson. Following his retirement in 2020, they returned to their home in Tangipahoa Parish, but Dr. Bruno has once again stepped forward to guide 青青草视频with experience, dedication, and a deep commitment to student success and institutional excellence.
