Residence Hall Staff

Staff Member on Duty Information

Residential Student Staff Members serve as the primary point of contact in each residence hall. They assist residents with personal, social, academic, and environmental concerns and help students learn and take responsibility for their actions.

When to Contact the Staff Member on Duty

• Lockouts
• Noise disturbances
• Roommate or suitemate concerns
• General housing questions
• Other community living needs

A sign identifying the Staff Member on Duty and their contact information is posted nightly at the building’s main entrance or lobby.

Please remember that Resident Assistants (RAs) and Hall Directors (HDs) are students who maintain class schedules and participate in campus activities.

After Business Hours and During University Holidays

Outside of regular business hours and during official University closures, contact the Staff Member on Duty using the appropriate after-hours duty phone number for your building.

Duty Coverage Schedule:

• Weekdays: 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Weekends: Friday at 1:00 p.m. through Monday at 7:00 a.m.

Staff Members on Duty may step away briefly for meal breaks or academic obligations. Staff are present in the building nightly from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
